Junior infants go French!

Junior infants enjoyed their pain au chocolats today..... Maybe they might have preferred escargot??

Aistear week 26/5/14

This week we are going French! Our theme is Paris! 

Our little Leonardos are painting their own self portraits, Mona Lisa style!

They are building L'arc du Triomphe out of Jaggo blocks and La Tour Eiffel out of lego. They are eating escargot and frogs legs in the French cafe and taking a boat ride down La Seine!

We are trying to learn some French phrases too!! 

Airfield

Junior Infants visited Airfield farm in Dundrum on Thursday 22nd May. We were blessed with the weather and wonderful tour guides Sheelagh and Eoin. They praised the Junior Infants for their behaviour and knowledge of nature. 

The children met an array of animals, stuffed and real life! They watched the cows being milked and fed the goats. They collected wild flowers and observed the pond insects and creatures. They planted pea seeds and played in the newly constructed maze. This maze will be fascinating to observe over time as the apple trees grow up along the pathways of it.
