Aistear week 30/9/2013

This month's Aistear theme is 'Farming'. The children are in role in the farm shop, sorting and classifying farm animals and building farms in Small World and Construction, creating tractors out of junk art and ploughing fields and weighing grain at the sand table. They have been learning about what we get from the different animals on the farm and the correct names for each farm animal. 

Aistear week 23/9/13

This week, the children are performing role play in the post office, they're designing postage stamps and creating their own boats. They are building their own small world beaches and learning about road safety.

Aistear week 16/9/13

This week, the children are building a cruise ship in construction, checking into the hotel in the home corner, dressing characters for different types of weather. They are building a small world fairground and they are having fun at the beach in the sand/water corner.

Aistear week 9/9/2013

This week the children are playing in role in airport in the Home Corner and constructing an aeroplane in the Construction Corner. They are thinking about places that we visit when we are on holidays and building a zoo in Small World and a swimming pool at the water table. In art the infants are making weather wheels.

Aistear week 2/9/13

This month's topic is 'Holidays'. The children are building a campsite in Small World, making a hotel in the Construction Corner, designing passports at the Art Table, learning about water safety in the Water Area and playing in role at the Travel Agents in the Home Corner.
