Aistear week 22/4/2013

This week the infants are in role as waiters, chefs and customers in the cafe, building a sand playground, experimenting with paint by printing and sponging towns, constructing a police station and learning about and designing environmentally friendly green homes out of Lego.

Aistear week 15/4/2013

This week the children are making buildings in the locality from junk art, building in the construction site in the sandpit, in role as teachers and pupils in the school, discovering areas in the locality where we play and designing and building a playground, learning about friction and forces and experimenting with the friction ramp and finding out about people who work in the local community.

Aistear week 8/4/2013

This month's topic is 'Our Locality'. This week the children are building towns and villages from Lego, sand and Jaggo blocks. They are learning about playing safely in the locality and they are mapping their journeys to school. In the Home Corner the infants are in role as shopkeepers and customers in the Pet Shop. We talked about how we can care for our pets.
