Knockree, Green Flag, Bees, Odlums, Swim Gala
Knockree
5th and 6th Classes went on a trip to Knockree in May. It was a great success. We stayed for two nights and three full days of activities. The children were outside and took part in all sorts of activities – archery, paintball shooting, orienteering, horse riding, mountain biking, hiking and team sports. They were well worn out, as were their teachers, by the end of the trip. Despite this they all returned with smiles on their faces.
7th Green Flag
Hurray!. Rathmichael received their 7th Green Flag for Green Homes. This is a great achievement. We are one of the only schools to have achieved this many flags. Paddy Madden came for a day to help us celebrate. He raised our flag.
Swimming Gala
A team from 6th Class entered the Kill O the Grange swimming Gala. We were up against four teams in a visiting schools relay. We were delighted to come first in this event and carried the trophy home.
Live Bees
Liam McGarry visited our school and brought with him some live bees. We had taken part in a competition and had been learning about bees. It was great to have them live in our school.
Odlums
4th Class have been cooking under the care of some very kind 4th Class parents. Odlums have been terrific in supplying cookbooks, wooden spoons and flour to all our pupils in 4th Class. Many thanks Odlums.
